Outward Sound have announced the fourth and final round of grant recipients for 2012.
Three Stage One grants were awarded.
Tom Lark - Stage 1
2012 has seen Tom Lark going from strength to strength. Performances at both the Going Global and Big Sound showcases had local and overseas attendees gushing with enthusiasm, with some international VIPs following the band to every show.
Since then
they have been playlisted on a number of US college radio stations and were
featured in the

were funded to showcase at the CMJ Music
Marathon 2012 where they performed to an array of US college radio programmers
and music industry insiders.
Donna Dean Music Limited - Stage 1
Donna Dean
started her music career at the age of eleven when she composed her first song.
Since that humble beginning she has steadily gained ground, finding her feet
both as an artist and as a professional musician. In that time she has always
stuck to what she does best: writing songs and performing them.
Donna has
earned the respect of her peers, achieving industry esteem by twice winning the
Tui Award for Best Country Album for 'What Am I Gonna Do?' (2011) and 'Money' (2004), and twice winning the APRA Award for Best Country Song for What Am I
Gonna Do? (2011) and Work It Out (2004). Her song Destination Life was the
title track for American bluegrass singer-songwriter Rhonda Vincent's 2009
Grammy nominated album.
Already a
veteran touring artist in Europe and
The Jury and the Saints - Stage 1
Formed in
2009, The Jury and the Saints have notched up an impressive list of successes.
C4TV picked up the band's first single, Brand New, as the channel's promo song
as well as showing a short documentary about the band and their music. The
video for Brand New became the number one most played video on C4 that year and
a top five single on Myspace music. Not long after this the band were asked to
support global hit makers Paramore on their NZ tour. Paramore loved the band so
much they invited the guys on a full Australasian tour to an overwhelming
response. Their latest release the EP titled Revival debuted at No.4 on the NZ
top 40 chart, and No.1 on the NZ singles chart, peaking at No.2 in the NZ top
40 chart and selling over 7,500 copies.
In late
2012 the band signed to Warner Music
