Theaudience.co.nz funding recipient November 2012

Nelson-based band Little Oceans have been announced as the latest recipients of the NZ On Air Wildcard grant for their song, Focus Harder. The three-piece are the sixth recipient of the $10,000 grant after finishing in the top position on music discovery site theaudience.co.nz for the month of November.

Like NZ On Air’s Making Tracks initiative, the Wildcard funding will take a two-month break over the summer holiday period but will return in February, 2013. Theaudience.co.nz will continue their support for local music over the break offering their very own recording grant. The winners of the December / January grants will receive one day of recording time at Auckland’s Roundhead Studios, mastering by Chris Chetland at Kog and an accompanying music video, directed by Mat Baker.
