4th December 2012

Acts based out of the North Island make up all three finalists spots in contention for the 2013 Folk Album of the Year.

Alt-country group Great North pick up a nod for their second and acclaimed album ‘Halves’, alongside fellow Aucklander Brenda Liddiard for her release ‘Box Of Memories’ and Wellington duo French For Rabbits for their self-released debut EP ‘Claimed by the Sea’.

The Tui for the Best Folk Album 2013 will be presented at the 40th annual Auckland Folk Festival in Kumeu (West Auckland) on 27 January, 2013.
