Kimbra takes home an ARIA

For the second year running, Kimbra has picked up the Best Female award at the Australian Recording Association Awards (ARIA), held at the Sydney Opera House last Thursday evening.

The accolade tops off a spectacular year for the 22-year-old, whose debut album ‘Vows’ shot straight to #14 on the US Billboard Top 200 chart – the highest position for a Kiwi female. She also picked up five awards at the 2012 NZ Music Awards, took out the prestigious International Songwriting Competition and scooped nominations for the Australian Music Prize and the 2012 APRA Song of the Year (Aus). Oh, and that song with Gotye which went to #1 in 18 countries!
