Christchurch Seminar: Music Management

A free seminar aimed at those new to music management and the music industry will take place in Christchurch on Tuesday 28 August.

It will cover all the information new managers need to know including the basic contracts, setting up your bands businesses, putting together a strategic plan for your band, what the difference between marketing and promo is, writing a press release, putting together a press pack, how to plan a CD release, how to put together a tour and much more.

Speakers include: Lorraine Barry (Manager - Dave Dobbyn, LA Mitchell, Victoria Girling-Butcher), Teresa Patterson (Manager - Six60, Iva Lamkum, I Am Giant) and David McLaughlin (Entertainment Lawyer, McLaughlin Law).

The seminar will be held at Imagitech Theatre, Rakaia Centre Atrium, CPIT, 60 Madras St, Christchurch.
