Making Tracks funding decisions May 2012
31st May 2012
NZ On Air will fund 32 new music projects from its May Making Tracks funding round. The 32 projects were selected from a field of 114 applications.
Seventeen are $10,000 grants for recording a song and making a music video to back up the release of the song and 15 are $6,000 grants for making a music video only.
Decisions are based on the broadcast, music and audience merits of the songs that have been submitted. The independent panel for the May round included Phil Bell (Mai FM), Miles Buckingham (Radio Active), Dan Wrightson (Juice TV), Russell Baillie (NZ Herald), Andrew Tidball (Cheese On Toast), Graeme Downes (Otago University) and Nick Roughan (Record Producer).
