Nominations for the 47th annual NZ Music Awards are now open

Awards are open to New Zealand artists who have had recordings commercially released between 1 June 2011 and 30 June 2012. Nominations are being accepted for Album and Single of the year, Best Group, Best Male and Female Solo Artists, Breakthrough Artist, Best Music Video, Best Maori, Rock, Urban / Hip Hop, Electronica, Roots, Pop, Alternative, Gospel / Christian and Classical albums. There are also technical award categories of Best Producer, Best Engineer and Best Album Cover.

The Finalists Announcement and Technical Awards presentation will be held in Auckland on Wednesday 3 October. The announcement of the 2012 Legacy Award recipient and New Zealand Music Hall of Fame inductee and the Critics’ Choice Prize showcase line-up is also made at that time.

 

This 2012 Vodafone NZ Music Awards take place on 1 November at Auckland’s Vector Arena.
