New music streaming service launches in NZ

Rdio, an online music streaming service launched in NZ last week, and is offering new Kiwi subscribers a free seven day trial.

Created by the founders of Skype, Rdio currently holds a catalogue of over 12 million songs from every major music company (EMI Music, Sony Music Entertainment, Universal Music Group, and Warner Music Group) as well as local independent labels and distributors Arch Hill Recordings, Flying Nun and Loop Recordings.

Subscription plans start at $8.90 per month and $13.90 per month for unlimited web and mobile streaming.
