Kimbra up for an ARIA

Hamilton-born singing sensation Kimbra has been given a nod across the ditch with a nomination in the 2011 Australian Recording Industry Association Music Awards (ARIAs). The 21-year-old appears in the Best Female Artist category for the single Cameo Lover alongside Clare Bowditch, Washington, Adalita and 2011 International Songwriting grand champion Kasey Chambers.
Somebody That I Used To Know, the trans-Tasman #1 hit from Aussie singer-songwriter Gotye featuring the vocal talent of Kimbra, is up for five gongs including Single of the Year, Highest Selling Single, Best Video, Best Pop Release and Best Engineer.
The Finn brothers also receive a nominated in the Highest Selling Album category for the covers album ‘He Will Have His Way - The Songs of Tim & Neil Finn’.
The 25th ARIA awards will be presented at Sydney’s Allphones Arena on November 27.
