Flip Grater signs deal with German Record Label
8th February 2011
Auckland based singer/songwriter Flip Grater has signed with Berlin-based indie label Make My Day Records for the release of her third album ‘While I’m Awake I’m At War’. The album has already received positive nods on this side of the world, debuting in the independent charts at number 8 and recently being nominated for the 2010 Folk Album Of The Year. Flip has also signed with Paris-based management company So-U (who also represent The Black Seeds) and is currently in negotiations for distribution in Portugal. In March 2011 she will head over to Germany, Portugal and France for a one- month promotional tour, also playing two shows in London.
“I’m really excited about working with Make My Day. They’re all super efficient German types and are lovely to deal with. It’s cool to be on the same label as Scandinavian acts I love like Saint Thomas and Britta Persson. I can’t wait to get over there in March to play some shows!” says Flip.
