8 Foot Sativa Gold And In 37 Countries

29th October 2004

8 Foot Sativa's debut album 'Hate made Me' has just achieved Gold sales status in NZ....(over 7,500 albums)

Released through independent label Intergalactic Records, the album sales are a milestone for the band, as most international Heavy Metal bands never reach these sales figures in NZ. They have now sold more than the last Pantera album that was released here.

The band's second album, ‘Season For Assault' has also just being released worldwide through Intergalactic's license to Swedish-based Black Mark Records. The album is now available in every country in Europe, with USA, Canada, Japan, and South Korea all about to kick in also. This makes a total of 37 countries that are now selling 8 Foot Sativa.

8 Foot Sativa are currently in Sweden recording their 3rd album at one of Europe’s top studios, Studio Underground.  The album is due for New Zealand release on Tuesday 14 December this year.

There has also been a lineup change within the band. Justin Niessen has left the band recently and his replacement is Matt Sheppard, brother of drummer Sam. Matt joined the band before they left for Sweden and has been very busy working on the album with the rest of the band.
