Scribe Single Goes Gold In Australia

19th October 2004

Scribe's single Not Many/Stand Up has reached Gold status in Australia, certifying sales of 35,000.

Australian sales of Scribe’s debut album ‘The Crusader’ are currently at 30,000, with only an additional 5000 sales to go to also achieve Gold in Australia.

Fresh from a recent sell-out Australian tour, Scribe said, "The Australian hip hop community has been phenomenally supportive".

Dirty Records’ co-owner and producer P Money said, "Scribe’s touring has really paid off, congratulations to him and all of the FMR team in Australia".

FMR New Zealand Managing Director Mark Ashbridge said, "I am thrilled that someone other than the Finns, Split Enz and Crowded House is finally selling records in Australia."

The next Australian single for Scribe is Dreaming and is already gaining adds with Australian radio.

P Money’s 'Magic City' album featuring appearances by Scribe is out in New Zealand this week.
