Those three clever Pinesters have finished tussling with the home studio in downtown Christchurch making album number two entitled 'Akira Sunrise', and it's out Monday October 11. It was recorded mostly in the early morning hours in order to avoid the noisy late night heavy metal neighbors, or disturbing the office wallahs during the day. You may have already heard the single See-Saw, which has been doing the rounds on the radio and telly.

Pine play a release show for 'Akira Sunrise' at the Wunderbar in Christchurch on Saturday October 9th with Alec Bathgate...look out for other NZ tour dates shortly.

USA record label Merge have released David Kilgour's album 'Frozen Orange' in the USA (it's on Arch Hill in NZ) and David is over there at this very moment touring the Eastern sides of the US with the Yo La Tengo rotational travelling road-show extravaganza.
