IN STORES NOW!
The first Big Day Out lineup announcement was made this morning at Ericsson Stadium, the site for the Auckland show, which is booked for Friday January 21 2005.
There is also a new promoter organising the Big Day Out in New Zealand this year.
CRS Management have been selected by Australian Big Day Out promoters Ken West and Vivian Lees to be the New Zealand Big Day out representatives, taking over from the Sequel who have done organised all previous New Zealand Big Days Out.
CRS Management principal Campbell Smith manages Brooke Fraser and co-manages Scribe with his business partner Teresa Patterson. He is legal advisor to Hayley Westenra. Smith also manages Bic Runga and Boh Runga and is lawyer for many other artists including The D4, Nesian Mystik, Elemeno P and Dawn Raid. Patterson manages Blindspott, the Have and Carly Binding.
And now Smith's long-time associate and Flying Nun original Paul McKessar joins the 'firm' as a partner straight out of four years in the UK with FMR. Among other things, McKessar brings to the board table the management contract for Dimmer.
Paul McKessar spent more than a decade in the offices of Flying Nun before heading to work in the UK music industry in 2000. He returns to New Zealand as a partner in CRS Management with a satchel full of industry contacts from around the globe.
