Lynda works for Burns McCurrach, a chartered accountancy firm based in Auckland which specialises in music. Bic Runga, Brooke Fraser and The Feelers are amongst their many clients. These seminars will cover things like what managers need to be aware of when looking after bands from an accountancy perspective, as well as structures for managers themselves and what to be aware of for tax purposes.

The MMF October Sessions are free for MMF members. Public admission is $5 per session or $15 for all 3 public sessions.


MMF MANAGEMENT AWARDS - Saturday 16th October, 2004. 8.30pm

KINGS ARMS ­ France St, Newton, Auckland

Featuring showcasing bands and the presentation of awards for Best Manager, Best Self-Managed Artist, Industry Champion & Outstanding Achievment in Management. Finalists for the Best Manager & Best Self-Managed Artist will be announced on October 1st.

The MMF Management Awards are open to all MMF members and their artists, as well as selected invitees.

ACCOMODATION DISCOUNTS

The MMF is pleased to announce a 40-60% discounts (depending on room type) at the Quality Inn Westend in Auckland for all MMF members and their artists, and include fully cooked breakfasts.

The Quality Inn is situated in Grey Lynn and handy to shops, cafes, bus routes and supermarkets as well as being a short stroll to the central music districts of Ponsonby & Newton. The MMF will be rolling out discounted accomodation in other main centres in the near future.
