IN STORES THIS WEEK!
Smashproof's now platinum-certified #1 hit Brother featuring Gin Wigmore has extended its #1 streak to seven consecutive weeks on the Official NZ Music Chart as well as moving to #3 on the RadioScope100 list of most-played songs on radio. It is now the longest-running local #1 of the digital age. The last Kiwi act to spend 7 weeks in the pole position was Atlas with Crawl. Before that was NZ Idol winner Ben Lummis with They Can't Take That Away From Me.
However, the all-time local #1 chart champ is Scribe with double-sided Stand Up / Not Many in 2003 with a total tally of 12 weeks.
Should Tyree, Young Sid and Deach make it eight-in-a-row next week they'll match Dave Dobbyn and Herbs' eight-week run 21 years back with the Footrot Flats theme Slice Of Heaven.
