The Misfits of Science join Base 107.3FM

6th August 2004

Misfits of Science will be joining Base FM every Monday from 8 – 9pm.

Colossal (aka Second Persona) and Optimus joined forces in 2000 to become Misfits of Science and went on to release their first single Fool$ Love in May, which spent seven weeks in the Top 5 before making the leap to #1 on the National Singles Chart. And having freed up time after completing their debut album (set to drop in October), a radio show was the obvious move for the two.

"The Misfits are the perfect choice for Mondays because everyone likes to kick off their week with a bang!" says Manuel Bundy, Station Manager.

Believers in the ‘realness’ of hip hop, their new show on Base will stay devoted to the genuine product, and not sell out to the commercial ‘bling’. They don’t know what they’re doing, they don’t listen to the radio and they don’t have a name for the show – but it will be a chaotic carnival-like MOS variety show.

Colossal and Optimus will be joined by toaster Tuff Enchant (from the ragga remix of Fool$ Love), who will host a segment entitled ‘Tuff Titties’.

The Misfits of Science show begins on Base 107.3 FM on Monday the 9th of August from 8pm – 9pm.
