IN STORES THIS WEEK!
George FM has joined in the effort to raise funds for fighting meningococcal meningitis. George FM DJs will take their decks to downtown Auckland and busk for children, babies and anyone else who is or could be hit by meningitis.
"Meningitis is a frightening disease and George knows we can make a difference." says Thane Kirby, George FM’s Program Director.
On Friday 7th and Saturday 8th of August, the George DJs will play sets from 7pm – 11pm in Queen Street and Ponsonby Road, Auckland and include Peter Urlich, Grant Marshall and Christiaan from House of Downtown getting people dancing in the streets for this crippling disease.
The funds will go to the Meningitis Trust to help with the $200 million dollar campaign that was recently launched in New Zealand - an attempt to vaccinate all those at risk, and create awareness for the illness.
‘Busking for the Babes’ runs from Friday the 6th of August from 7pm – 11pm, then again of Saturday the 7th of August from 7pm – 11pm.
