Liam Finn strikes with his I'll Be Lightning Tour in July

In just 3 sold-out shows a little over a month ago, Liam Finn gave Australian and New Zealand audiences a taste of his solo material, in his one-man shows in Sydney, Melbourne and Auckland.

And in July, Liam returns to Australia and New Zealand to pick up where he left off.

"I can't wait to get back to Australia and New Zealand" says Liam. "I'm excited about these solo shows as each one is completely different from the last and is always an absolute blast."

Recorded in his hometown of Auckland and inspired by spending the last two years of his young life in the bustling city of London, 'I'll Be Lightning' has the markings of a polished debut album. The album was recorded, engineered and produced by Liam: "I didn't want to compromise or collaborate," he acknowledges. "I wanted to record these songs the way I heard them in my head. And I had a very clear idea of how I wanted them."

And the results of his efforts can be heard on 'I'll Be Lightning' - released in New Zealand on Monday 23rd July.
