Watch out - the Twitch are likely to be descending on a town near you, sucking bars dry, destroying motels and displaying all manner of deviant rock n' roll behaviour all over the country on their first headline tour of New Zealand in late April and early May.
The Twitch are: Josh (drums), Jesus (guitar) and Fleur (vocals/bass). Gigs with Hello Sailor, The D4, The Sneaks, Slave Trader, The Have, Goodnight Nurse, We Dunno and Terminus have built The Twitch a loyal following.
In 2005 The Twitch won the New Zealand final of World Battle of the Bands, and took out the award for best song writing, and Fleur won most passionate performer. They flew to Hong Kong for the world final and came second.
The Twitch had their first North and South Island New Zealand tour in March / April 2006 with American girl band and World Battle of the Bands 2005 finalists Jaggedy Ann.
Since 2003 the band have continued to play extensively, have released two DIY albums 'The Rangi Album', and 'Live at MAINZ', which are now out of press. Their first Studio album 'What The F**k Is Going On?' has was released on their own label Rangi Records in June 2006.
Videos clips for Lay it on the Line and Drunk (the two singles on their new album) are currently playing on Auckland's music TV station, ALT TV.
Since June 06, four songs off the album have been playlisted on New Zealand's 100% New Zealand music station KIWI FM which can be streamed live anywhere in the world (www.kiwifm.co.nz) and Work was chosen for Off the Record on The Rock radio station
