Universal Music Publishing Join Forces With Dawn Raid Entertainment

Universal Music Publishing Australia has announce a groundbreaking worldwide publishing joint venture with New Zealand Hip Hop/R n B label Dawn Raid Entertainment.

The Dawn Raid Publishing/Universal Music Publishing Joint Venture will see the South Auckland based Dawn Raid team operate as the A&R source, bringing to the deal a number of platinum and multi-platinum NZ writers. Universal will operate on an administration, synchronisation and creative level bringing its international muscle to the joint venture.

Speaking of the joint venture, Universal Music Publishing Australia’s Managing Director, Bob Aird asserts "This is not a normal songwriter/publisher agreement. We have entered into a joint venture which will allow Universal to exploit the Dawn Raid songwriters/catalogue on an international basis and the rewards will come back to New Zealand and the domestic music community."

The first writers to be signed under the Dawn Raid Music Publishing/Universal Music Publishing banner will be R n B duo, Adeaze. The duo’s number one debut album ‘Always & For Real’ is set to surpass double platinum status in New Zealand.
