IN STORES NOW!
'Fly My Pretties' brings together Barnaby Weir (Black Seeds, Flash Harry), special musical guests and visual artists in a unique theatrical experience commencing at Wellington's Bats Theatre on August 4.
From the 4th till the 7th of August, Bats Theatre will be transformed into an installation featuring one of Australia's pioneering installation artists Mikala Dwyer and Wellington's own Carey Young. Amongst the plastic, white and whodding, will be a collective featuring some of Wellington's finest and most influential musicians. Headed by Barnaby Weir, this band will play a range of tunes, some old and cherished (Turn it Around, The Black Seeds; Singing In My Soul, Age Pryor & Tess Rain and All The Goodness, The Dub Connection) and some fresh new tunes born of this exciting collaboration.
'Fly My Pretties' will only show for four nights. During the four performances, Lee Prebble who recorded TrinityRoots, The Phoenix Foundation and The Black Seeds, will be on stage recording the mix for a live album to be released later his year. This event will also be filmed by NEKTAR (makers of 50Hz's music video Seek Know More), capturing this collaborative effort in a music video and a documentary to be released with the album. The documentary will then be screened on C4.
For $20 four lucky people at each show have the chance to get their own stereo headphone mix and get inside the music.
