Ruby Suns Heading Away and other news from Lil' Chief

Lil' Chief HQ tell us that The Ruby Suns have received rave reviews in the UK following the release of their album on Memphis Industries (home of The Go! Team and Dungen). Here are a sample:

The band are playing a gig in Auckland this week - one of their last before heading to the UK to play a series of shows in London, Dublin, Birmingham and a decent number of other towns.

If you're in Auckland, the forthcoming Ed Cake/Pye Warmer and Shaft show looks like it could be one to put in your diary for February with Ed Cake showcasing his new band, Pye Warmer, which includes a group of respected local musicians - we can't say who they are so it will be a surprise!.

The Brunettes are preparing to emerge from months of recording and are currently auditioning drummers. Anyone who thinks they have what it takes to top previous drummer - Ryan McPhun's drummer - on the skins and on backing vocals should message the Brunettes via myspace.
