Greg Johnson, the Warratahs Return Home

15th July 2004

Greg Johnson and sidekick Ted Brown are back from LA after recently supporting the Wallflowers at Hollywood's house of the Blues and Greg’s song ‘Save Yourself’ has been added to a whole stack of stations in the USA. Before he left for the States, Greg found time to contribute his flugelhorn skills to a new radio track by the artist(s) formerly known as Trip to the Moon aka Trip.  The new Trip album tentatively titled ‘The Best International Million Selling Jazz Album EVER’ is scheduled for release early next year … which incidentally will be Pagan’s 20th Anniversary!

Barry Saunders and the Warratahs are also back from their travels, having received a great response at the Norfolk Island Country Music Festival.  They head into the studio to record tracks for a forthcoming album.  And in news of one who has headed offshore, Paul Ubana Jones has returned to Europe to tour.

'Pick Up The Pieces' is the new single from Crumb which has just hit radio and television, and the band recently supported The Feelers and OpShop.  Previously Crumb have played on the same bill as bands such as Audioslave, Pacifier, The Datsuns and The Feelers and they played at  the ‘Return Of The King’ World Premiere.   In potential awards news, Dub Asylum‘s new remix ep, available on limited edition 12", has been nominated as a finalist at this years bNet New Zealand Music awards.
