Nesian Mystik to Front Health Awareness Ads

Nesian Mystik will be fronting a TV advertising campaign to promote immunisation for the lethal menigococcal disease which is currently a major health threat in parts of the country.  They and former What Now presenter Jason Fa'afoi are the faces of the $2.7 million campaign. 

According to the New Zealand Herald (14/7/04) the first advertisement in a series of three, fronted by Fa' afoi,is aimed at the parents of schoolchildren and explains  the consent forms for the vaccination.  Fa'foi also fronts the second ad, which targets paretnts of children under 5 and starts next month.  Nesian Mystik will be in the third advertisement, set to screen next year, which will be aimed at teenagers who have left school. 

The $2.7 million which has been earmarked to promote the vaccine is for a full public information campaign, including the television advertisements.
