IN STORES NOW!
Punk rock band Sommerset is poised to release their third album, 'Say What You Want', on July 19.
Lead singer / guitarist Ryan Thomas says "everything is sounding awesome".
"Some of the songs will be what people have come to expect from us, others will be quite a surprise."
The album has been engineered at Studio 203 by Andrew Buckton, who has also worked with Dave Dobbyn, Supergroove and Crowded House.
The New Zealand release will be followed by a tour of Wellington, Auckland, Queenstown, Dunedin and Christchurch. Tour details are posted below.
Later in the year the album will be released in Australia, Europe and the UK where Sommerset will also tour.
Long time drummer Jay Dougrey has been replaced by Stu Young from Dunedin band Ritalin, but the band's website says "he made sure that he left us with some awesome drum tracks for the album".
The band is sad to lose him but say they will remain friends.
Young will tour with the band until at least October this year.
The first singles, Inside and Say What You Want are out now.
