Cassette with Augie March and then with Voom
30th May 2006
Cassette return for a very mixed bag of shows over the next few weeks.
They start off at Auckland's Odeon Lounge for Queen's Birthday Weekend, playing with Australian band Augie March, who are playing for the first time in New Zealand in support of their third album, the wonderfully-titled 'Moo, You Bloody Choir'.
Cassette will also be guest DJing at the Black Luck Club on Wednesday June 7th.
And they open up for Voom at the Classic Comedy Bar on Friday 9th of June. Voom are releasing their highly-anticipated second album 'Hello, Are You There' (out June 12), the follow up to their 1998 debut 'Now I Am Me'. Joining them both on the bill as well is Chris Knox and the Nothing. Voom also has another record release show at the Classic the following night, June 10, with the Reduction Agents and the Sneaks.
Cassette release their own album - their debut no less - in July. It's entitled 'Cut For Summer'.
