This is the last Arch Hill news update for the summer and Christmas break, and it's mostly all about upcoming gigs for the party season.

Sadly Boxcar Benny is moving to the Californian sunshine, so the the Auckland operation of Boxcar Guitars has been wound up...bummer we say! Still, we wish him all the best, and the remainder of the band are all involved in many other good musical projects (Don McGlashan, Demi Whores and more) so we will see them around and about no doubt.

 

So, speaking of Don...Don McGlashan and the Seven Sisters are getting out and playing some songs from his forthcoming album in some of Auckland 'satellite' towns. The band features SJD and John Segovia of the Boxcar Guitars. The Seven Sisters are taking along Bachelorette for the shows:

Thursday - 8th December - Hellensville Grand Hotel
Friday - 9th December - Raglan Harbor View Hotel
Saturday - 17th December - Leigh Sawmill Café

 

Punches gets in with the Ryan McPhun and the Ruby Suns at the Odeon lounge on Saturday the 10th of December.

Grand Prix will be loading up the van and heading north to Auckland to play a couple of shows celebrating the release of their country-meets-Mex-mix of tunes - the 'The Way of the Racer' album - with Cassette and The Situations.

Thursday - 15th December - Odeon Lounge - with Cassette
Friday - 16th December - Edens Bar - with the Situations

 

As previously mentioned, Luke Buda and Mëstar both have albums due out in the earlier part of next year on Arch Hill. Luke's album was mixed with the help of Lee Prebble and Mëstar's had Dale Cotton at the controls.
