Autozamm Release Video; Ed Davis Film Screening

15th November 2005

Autozamm are holding a video release party for their new single Don't Worry this Thursday November 17. It's at Auckland's PR Bar in Ponsonby Road and, as well as showing the clip, the band will play live.

The video is directed by award-winning director Ed Davis, who won the Kodak Music Clip Awards' Best Director prize in July this year for the Exiles' Hear The People, as well as the 2005 Handle the Jandal Rising Star award for the Misfits of Science Fools Love Ragga Remix clip. He is also a finalist in the SPADA New Film-maker Awards.

Autozamm recieved a NZ On Air $5000 music video grant in July to assist with the clip's production. The track Don't Worry is from their debut album 'As For Now' which also came out in July.

Also if you are in Wellington in a couple of weeks' time, on Sunday 27 November at 9.30pm at the Paramount there's a one-off screening of Ed Davis's ambient film Lachii; with a live soundtrack performed byKahu (Tristan Dingemans ofHDU).

Kahu has accompanied screenings of Lachii on several occasions since it's premiere in the Wellington Fringe Fest at Happy in March 2004 - since then it's played around galleries and alternative music venues up and down NZ - now it's time to bring it to the big screen.

Lachii is a 1hr single continuous shot which follows a small boy as he goes on a bit of an adventure round the Porirua stream just south of Tawa - Lachii finds all sorts of junk and half buried treasures in the streambed - stuff left behind from abandoned factories and domestic trash dumped off the back road to Wellington.

Kahu has just released a CD called 'Okahu' which will be available on sale at the screening.

Tickets to Lachii are on sale at the Paramount Box Office from November 15.
