Meaning It- Finding Your Voice -
by Caitlin Smith
When people ask me how they should practise singing, I am always tempted to say, "Just as you would any other instrument". But then, of course, not all singers play another instrument - so here we are. ...more

Born in Mombasa, Kenya, Brendan Power was nine when his family moved to NZ in 1965. Growing up in Nelson he attended Nayland College, then Canterbury University where he gained a BA in English and MA in Religious Studies. ...more
Beatrootz - Fresh Talent

Mikey is joined in CTFFT by bassist Tony Swift and drummer Jono Tiernan. ...more

by Richard Thorne
Being NZM's 20th birthday we thought it was an opportune time to turn the mic on our 'Moments' column curator Trevor Reekie. ...more
A Tale of Luthiers and Lutherans - On Foreign Soil
by Gene Bennett
Gene Bennett was the guitarist in Auckland fun popsters Rubicon, the wacky threesome featuring on NZM's August/September 2002 cover. All the guitars Rubicon used were made by Gene and in the years since he has pursued his guitar tech skills, established G-Spot Guitars, repairing and building stringed instruments from scratch. ...more
