MGMT get off on the wrong foot

American band MGMT were pelted with shoes at a show in Huntington Beach, California after band member James Richardson said, trying to hype the crowd up, "...everyone give me your left shoe now..."
A few seconds and a cloud of shoes later, Richardson suggested "...that was probably a bad idea..."
