A new prototype created to charge a cell phone using heat from the feet will make its debut at the Glastonbury Festival of Contemporary Performing Arts this year. Developed by European telecommunications company Orange, the phone-charging prototype will come in the form of a pair of rubber gumboots. The way the Orange Power Wellie’s work is by using a "power generating sole" that converts heat from the feet into electrical power. The down fall… to produce enough power to charge a phone for one hour the boots must be in use for 12 hours.
