Scavengers, the

Seminal Auckland punk band who formed in Auckland during the pre-punk mid-70s. They were originally art students and were well known for songs such as Mysterex (later covered by the D4) and 'True Love'. They had great stage names: Johnny Volume (guitar, vocals) Des Truction (drums) Mal Licious (bass) Mike Lezbian (vocals)
