At long last comes the debut album from drum'n'bass pioneers Bulletproof. Originally formed in 2000 as a duo comprising of Jay Monds (aka DJ Pots) and Josh Lees, since early 2005 Jay has continued alone in producing the dance floor sound know as neurofunk. The album is a chronological collection of the best 11 tracks from 2001 to the present day. Two tracks feature collaborations with Concord Dawn and DJ Optiv, and two are remixes by Konflict and Kemal. All the cuts sound incredibly fresh, thanks in part to the excellent mastering by Evan Short of Concord Dawn. The bulk are from 12" releases through Bulletproof's label Cyanide, although a few are from other labels including NZ's own Subtronix. The sound is relentless but seamless, sure proof of why Bulletproof is held in such high esteem around the drum'n'bass world. You might want to check your foundations before turning this up to eleven!
