ALDA REZENDE: Traveller

Brazilian Alda Rezende is the latest in an increasing number of seasoned international musicians who now call Wellington home. Like former Detroit electronic producer Recloose, who also released an album through the increasingly internationalist Loop Recordings, Rezende is based in our capital and contributed to last year's 'O.E: Brazil', which was, of course, recorded in her homeland. As befitting its name, 'Traveller' was recorded in both Brazil and Wellington with Rezende working closely with Welli jazz alumni Jonathan Crayford, who features on the album alongside international legends such as Marcos Valle. An accomplished collection of lush, loungey jazz numbers this will hold appeal to fans of Twinset and Mark de Clive-Lowe. Related Information
