Pearl: No Ordinary Day

Talented Wellington singer/songwriters Shelley Hirini and Lisa Nimmo are a pop duo with a made-for-womens’ magazines story. The album is chock full of catchy hooks and sweet harmonies; with instrumental backing that is polished, and strong. The 12 original tracks on this debut owe a lot to fellow songwriter (and co-producer) Chris Jones, and producer/engineer/multi-instrumentalist Ross McDermott. Along with Hirini and Nimmo’s sublime voices are McDermott’s bass, keys and guitars, Jones also on keys, Evan Williams on the traps, guitarists Geoff Duncan and Mike Petrie plus several others. These songs are extremely strong, catchy and well-produced for commercial radio playlists - they’ve had three singles feature on NZ On Air Kiwi Hit Discs. Pearl can do it live too, they’ve supported Jimmy Barnes, Fur Patrol and Lisa Chappell in June this year. www.pearlband.com Related Information
