4 Man Bob: Rock Star

Despite their name, 4 Man Bob are actually a 4-man/2-woman group. Ska/punk is their game, and they are now one of the country's foremost practitioners of the genre blend. Led by Nolan Hungerford (vocals and guitar), an ex-Christchurch Jazz School saxophone devotee, 4 Man Bob are a tour de force both live and on album. The other members, Ratz (guitar and vocals), Murray (bass), Head (drums and BVs), Lauren (sax) and Haley (trumpet) are equally as adept, talented and lively as their frontman. 'Rock Star' is an extremely well-recorded album (courtesy of Bevan Dally), featuring ten original tunes by the sextet. The group have been together since March 2001, and they have performed extensively on a national basis in the past year or two.
