Goldenhorse: Out of the Moon

Goldenhorse gives us pop with attitude and a fantastic album! Kirsten Morelle is much more than a very good singer. She uses aspects of vocal texture, which tempt the 'sing-a-long-listener' like me, to have some harmony fun. There is drama, theatre of vocal and other instruments, all well presented and expertly performed by Geoff Maddock, Vincent Hine, Ben Collier and Ben King. Maddock lends his own voice and perspective with ease and like-ability on the odd man out track Alien. All instrumentalists give warmth to this team production with Murray Grindley. Every guitar riff, drum and bass rhythm have their own personalities and flavour each other well. I'd love to hear what they'd come up with when writing a rock opera. I love it. Goodness me, I even play it when I'm hormonally challenged.
