Strawpeople: Count Backwards From 10

No argument with the Strawpeople website from me. "Producer Paul Casserly has once again brought together an all-star musical co-op of songwriters, vocalists and musicians to create his unique blend of moody electro-pop, featuring gorgeous vocals over slinky electronic beats." True enough. Casserly's eighth recording under the Strawpeople moniker, following a three year break, includes vocal contributions from Fiona McDonald, Pearl Runga, Boh Runga, Leza Corban, Jordan Reyne and Mahinarangi Tocker. Musicians Dan Serber, Max Stowers, Godfrey de Grut, Joost Langeveld and Chris Van de Geer amongst others! The production is slick and polished, the vocals are sultry and inviting, and there's even a rendition of The Psychedelic Furs' Love My Way...how cool is that? Paul Casserly and co have created another masterpiece. Check it out.
