Alex is a singer who seems to enjoy every single note she sings. And I HEARD every word! All original material, this is a pop/rock recording, tastefully emotive in its musical arrangements. Alex plays piano, keyboards and cello on this recording, though is helped along by excellent session musicians including Eight drummer Paul Russell. Alex is an unpretentious singer who is honest in her style. When she lets loose on songs like Talk, one of my favourites, I'm reminded of some good NZ girl bands of the '80s/early '90s, such as The Pikelets. This is a positive musical collection of personal spiritual belief, friendship and independence. Good pop songs, rock and some good ballads. The beautiful, and strong Façade, begins this collection which ends with an untitled track 11 - a groovy little dance number. Related Information
