From the organisers of Nelson's recently established Phat Club comes a delectable concoction of NZ talent. Produced as a thank you to supporters of the club by owners Dave White and Selena Coombes (music performers themselves who previously set up Nelson's Artery and The Stomach in Palmerston North), this is a very pleasant blend of local dub, electronica, drum and bass and hip hop. All artists and producers featured have performed at Phat, donating their tunes in support of the club's contribution to the exposure and development of original music. The tracks vary from remixes of Salmonella Dub and Minuit to an interestingly smooth electronica, a hip hop-inspired piece from Chris Knox, with a sprinkling of various local dance styles in between. Well produced throughout and distributed by Everyman Records, this CD is available nationwide in a slim pack form, retailing at less than the usual album priceRelated Information
