LEECHES: Leeches EP

Leeches is the new band formed by Angelo Munro and Ian King from the Bleeders following the demise of that band – a year ago in March 2010. There’s a naming theme obviously. And what a ripper! It’s punky, it’s hardcore, and harks back to the late ’80s days of hardcore punk; bands like Raw Power, Negazione, the Dead Kennedys, MDC, Cro Mags, Suicidal Tendencies…whilst still sounding totally fresh. The others in the band are Sam Crocker (Antagonist AD), Dan Brenndorfer (Brick Vs Face) and on drums Ben Duncan (The Chase) when Jaden Parkes (Goodnight Nurse) is not available. It’s fast, frantic, raw and full of energy and passion. Recorded in West Auckland at The Dank, by David Hine of Puppykiller Records, this 5-track EP should be snapped up by all fans of hardcore punk immediately. Can’t wait to see them live. This bleeds with class.
