PARACHUTE BAND: Love Without Measure

This latest offering from the next generation Parachute Band explodes with energy and pulsing drums, opening track Gave It All immediately pulling you in. You Remain is a brilliant mix of swirling atmosphere and synths, with frontman Omega Levine’s powerful vocals soaring over the track. Former Delirious? singer, Martin Smith, features on the commanding ballad It’s You while Saviour of the Broken Heart opens over a sampled angelic choir with magical results. Closing track Soar rounds off the album beautifully, an instrumental soundscape in the style of Sigur Ros. The album is full of anthemic, sing-along choruses, poignant synths and natural transitions between dynamics. Unafraid to take risks and experiment with sound, ‘Love Without Measure’ is a refreshing release. The band moves effortlessly between heartfelt ballads and Brit-pop style anthems over the album, which was recorded at Parachute and Roundhead Studios. First-time producer Sam de Jong has done an outstanding job, securing a highly polished finish. If it’s inspiration you’re after, there’s no need to look further than this.
