Joanne Chester: Where’s The Time
By Lucy Mulligan
After four years studying music education at university, it is not
hard to see that Joanne Chester has been classically trained and
unlike so many other up-and-coming singers, this girl has no awkward
notes, she sings so sweetly it’s easy to get lost amongst her
beautiful voice. Singing alongside Ray Woolf and performing in front
of several thousand people during Christmas Carols by Candlelight at
Potters Parkare among her most memorable moments before the release of
this album which is full of easy blues and jazz numbers. Title track
Where’s the Time and Not Thinking of You both have a good swing rhythm
with the saxophone giving them an energetic lift. This easy-listening
album was recorded and produced with the help of Kovi Mongelli at
Souled Out Records.
