VARIOUS: DJ Presha Presents Way Of The Samurai

Reigniting some flair and gusto into drum ’n bass this debut release from Samurai Music sees local pioneer Geoff Wright, aka DJ Presha, channelling a wealth of experience and ear for a good tune into a quality compilation of local and European productions. Presha’s overseas buds have supplied some impressive cuts which include Klute’s atmospheric social commentary fuzz Divinity and Revelations while various Kiwis have had their unknown gems dug up with tracks from State Of Mind, Trei and The Upbeats as well as some less familiar local producers – Luca being one of them with Speakeasy, a deep local nod to Bukem style jazzstep. One of the key ingredients is selection and flow. The diverse range of styles brought together make a coherent listening experience, and this collection could prove to be one of the standout D&B releases for this year. Related Information
