Len Fifield: I Can Still Do It!

"Life begins at 40..." sang Dave and The Dynamos and it is about life and in a similar style that Len Fifield's debut album kicks off. Quirky lyrics with a predominantly rock'n'roll backing make this album interesting listening. Fifield felt there was a need for songs that reflected 'life's events' for the over 40s. This is certainly the first time I've heard a song about hip replacements or selling a house, although these days the two are probably closely linked. Normally a one-man band (Fifield does everything with his keyboard), he is assisted by Angela Duncan (backing vocals) and Geoff Duncan (lead guitar / production). The music and the arrangements are simple but provide a suitable platform for Fifield's lyrics.
